Meet Raquel Garcia, Commercial Lines Account Manager

Staff | 06/17/2019

While Raquel is relatively new to Massey, Clark, Fischer...having been on board for less than a year now, she’s already become an integral member of our team. Raquel has an impressive background with 10+ years experience in the insurance industry. Her intelligence has proven to be a tremendous asset to our firm and her poise in working with our commercial clients and each of their unique challenges makes her a welcome addition. In her role of Commercial Lines Account Manager, Raquel believes in providing a great personalized experience to all of our clients.

“I want them to know that I'm also a customer myself.” – Raquel Garcia

You can say Raquel is a ‘people person’. She takes her role of wanting to help clients protect what is important to them very seriously. She believes that when it comes down to it, it isn’t just about handling someone’s insurance but rather creating an experience where clients understand that we care about the things that happen in their businesses and lives.  Interestingly, this core value of hers is what led her to Massey, Clark, Fischer in the first place. Having her values and beliefs aligned with Massey, Clark, Fischer has given her the ability to expand her expertise and serve her clients well. Being a fairly new member to our Massey family, Raquel was quick to admit that the idea of entering a new job environment can be quite intimidating but the folks here at Massey, Clark, Fischer have made her feel right at home. She admires the close-knit relationships in the firm, the willingness to help and educate and just the overall high work ethic that everyone embodies.

Raquel graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2006...yes the new infamous high school.  On a somber note, she can’t imagine what went through the minds and hearts of her fellow high school alumni who were actually attending Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 when the shooting occurred, but as you may imagine it’s something that hit very close to home for her.  After high school, she accepted a receptionist position at Brightway Insurance, a job that was secured with the help of a friend’s mom. Initially, she thought insurance wouldn’t be something she would be interested in long term, but as it turned out, it was quite the opposite! She has been working in the insurance industry since 2009 and, in 2010, she got her 4-40 insurance license. It is her hope to go for her 2-20 insurance license in the coming year.

When Raquel isn’t at work, serving our clients, she spends her time with her two-year-old daughter, Nevaeh. Fun fact, Nevaeh is heaven spelt backwards! Raquel and Nevaeh both love creative things. Painting, dancing, coloring, arts and crafts and pretty much anything creative is how they spend their time together. Raquel also enjoys going to church. She believes that everything eventually works out for everyone’s best interests. Her life is about moderation and balance.  She embodies this positive mindset when dealing with tough situations and challenging circumstances both in her personal and professional life. Honesty is the principle she values the most. For her, “being able to be honest means that you care for and respect any relationship or situation, whether it be with your clients, family or friends”. Raquel also enjoys singing and another fun fact about her is that, before she got into insurance, she would sing at local bars and restaurants whenever she could book a gig.

Raquel has made for a wonderful addition to our team here at Massey, Clark, Fischer. Her presence is much appreciated and her hard work and dedication is seen when her clients leave happy and contented knowing that there is someone to take them step by step through the process when it comes to handling their commercial insurance needs. So the next time you’re in need of a review, evaluation, bid or renewal for your commercial insurance, be sure to stop by or call and ask for Raquel.
