Meet Barbara Ann De La Vega - Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Barbara has always enjoyed a high level of independence. After her divorce, she successfully juggled getting her college degree while being a dedicated mother! She prioritized the success of her children as evidenced by her commitment to ensure she attended all her children's school events, etc. Barbara is a very ‘matter of fact’ lady, what you see is exactly what you get with her and it’s the reason she has such great relationships with our clients.
Barbara attended school in Jackson Heights, NY, where she earned her Associate Degree in Business with a 3.7 GPA. Her first job, working for Crump E&S in New York City, led to her falling in love with the fast pace of the insurance industry. Over the years, she has witnessed and kept her clients abreast of the many changes occurring in the industry. When asked what she’d like to see changed from an industry perspective, Barbara said she “would like to see a return to the practice of clients meeting with and being serviced by actual real persons/underwriters/agents that someone could speak to and meet with in person”.
Hard-working and dedicated, that’s the best way to describe Barbara. Since joining our team in 2001, Barbara enjoys forming relationships with and assisting both new and existing clients. She prides herself on her excellent knowledge of our client agency computer system. The best part about Massey, Clark, Fischer, in Barbara’s opinion, is the relaxed atmosphere. The people at Massey, Clark, Fischer are friendly and the owners are confident in knowing their clients are taken care of. The way Hank and Eric run the business makes it comfortable and easy for everyone involved, employees and clients alike.
Barbara is guided in both her professional and personal life by the values of honesty, truthfulness and a pure heart. Her qualities are a perfect match with our philosophy here at Massey, Clark, Fischer where relationships matter since our inception in 1958. So when your business is ready to review it’s insurance needs, we invite you to come in and speak with Barbara.
